Macedonia will be put on the list of safe countries whose citizens can travel in the EU
The European Union agreed on the decision to add Macedonia in its list of safe countries, which allows the Macedonian citizens to travel in the 27 members of the block and for non-essential reasons, said diplomatic sources in Brussels. Apart from Macedonia, the expanded list will also include the United States, Serbia, Albania, Lebanon and Taiwan. The decision will take effect in the coming days. So far, the list has included Australia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. Every member of the Union has the right to request a negative PCR test or quarantine for travelers from safe countries, ie countries where there is a low risk of coronavirus infection.
