Macedonians annually consume more water than residents of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Kosovo together. According to Eurostat data, we consume 118.2 cubic meters of water per capita, making us recorders in the region with about 323 liters of water per capita per day.
The highest water consumption in Skopje in the last ten years was registered on August 6, 2017, when according to the measurements of the city water network, a total of 353.558 cubic meters were consumed, which is about 640 liters of water per inhabitant.

According to Eurostat data on the consumption of water from public water systems per capita, at most 94 cubic meters annually spent by Greeks, and at least Romanians with 25.1 cubic meters of water annually.
From PE "Vodovod i kanalizacija" Skopje recommend to its users and citizens of Skopje in the summer period to use water rationally for the needs of the home and not to be abused for unreasonable flooding of greenery, cooling of streets, swimming pools and other excessive needs.
