After a break of several years, on the 31st of May, the 5th Festival of Roma children songs which was in the past organized by the SP BTR Production has been held. During this year’s edition of the festival, there were singers from the Primary Schools from the territory of Skopje.

The program was composed of nine new compositions. The whole event was held on open in the summer terrace of the “Mateks” restaurant in Shuto Orizari. In front of the present audience, the children presented their songs titled as “Corona”, “Party – Party”, “I wear designer brands”, “I can’t forget her”, “I want a hamburger and fries”, “My brother and sister”, “I am not ashamed that I am Roma”, “Mom I love you” and “Popular girl”.

The music and the production was composed by Rean Nezirovikj and Samir Nezir, while as the lyrics were written and composed by Enis Muarem.

The whole event was financially supported with funds from the Ministry for Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Within the frameworks of the realization of the Project “Local Heroes – World Talents” which is realized and implemented by the Association Roma Business Informative Center – ARBICM, in collaboration and financially supported by the City of Skopje – Cultural Sector, organized the event on 29.05.2021 – Saturday – 20:00, in the central area of the Topaana neighborhood (known as “Dve Cesmi”)

The event was conducted in front of the citizens of Topaana where a speech was given for the historical meaning of the oldest Roma settlement on the Balkan – Topaana, the speech was given by the Ethnologist – Daniel Petrovski, and also by the President of ARBICM, Zoran Dimov, after that, the film “Local Heroes-World Talents” was screened.
