The President of the Pro-European Roma Party, Nicolae Paun, said during the show "From the life of the Roma" that 2.5 million people were not visited in the Population and Housing Census in 2020.
"We have 2 and a half million people who have not been visited on the territory of Romania and we do not know if they are men or women, where they live. We are no longer talking about ethnicity. We don't even know how many people we have in the diaspora, the embassies and consulates were not involved in this process," said Nicolae Paun.
"If we keep the percentage of 3.4% representativeness at the Romanian level, from the examined population, then let's keep the proportion for 2.5 million citizens who were not examined. And you get 630,000 Romanian citizens of Roma ethnicity, exactly as many as you had in 2011. And in the diaspora there are at least 60,000 Roma who have not obtained residency, who travel daily between the respective countries and Romania", said the president of APRPE
