The Roma Museum of Culture on Roosevelt Street was broken into at around 4pm on Wednesday. So far, unknown persons have broken the window of the museum and made a mess in the exhibits and the space of the museum.
As mentioned by the director of the Museum, Dragoljub Ackovic. He was told by the police that he had made a mess and broken parts of the Museum, and it is not known if anything was stolen.
Ackovic noted that his associates were on the scene while the police were inspecting.
"I was not present at the time because I was expecting the results of my coronavirus test, but I heard that there was a mess in the museum," he said.
He says that during the inspection, the police noticed that the entrance door of the Museum was damaged, there was broken glass, and several other things that are there were overturned and broken. The only good thing is that the internal inventory is not broken. Ackovic states that so far there have been no problems with the functioning of the museum.
- Probably the strangers searched to find money or valuable things. So far I can not confirm if anything is missing from the museum. The Museum was closed during the attack and is still closed.
