Pope Francis will spend all day in Skopje and will hold Mass at the square "Macedonia"

On May 7, Pope Francis will arrive in Skopje for the first time. His visit is regarded as historical because it coincides with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Northern Macedonia and the Vatican.
His agenda will begin in the morning, and many popes and foreign supporters from the Pope are expected to come to Skopje.
Skopje will be blocked on May 7, but Secretary of State Viktor Dimovski says security in the country will be at the highest level.

And from the Ministry of Interior report that they are taking all necessary measures for fully and efficiently securing the event and the high guest.

After the official reception, Pope Francis will meet with the President, Gjorge Ivanov, the Prime Minister, Zoran Zaev, representatives of the civil sector and the diplomatic leadership. During his stay, he will meet with the religious leaders and the poor. In the program for the apostolic journey of the Pope in Northern Macedonia, a liturgy is also planned, and is expected to participate in the ecumenical and inter-religious gathering with the youth.
