The private bus carriers in Skopje for three months have not received money from the City of Skopje for the transportation they perform and the lines they maintain. Due to that, certain transporters have not been driving for several days, so there are no buses on some of the lines and the citizens are left without public transport.
Such is the case with the settlement of Suto Orizari where lines "19" and "20" did not drive in the last two days.
After a reaction from all sides, a promise was received, primarily from the city of Skopje, that from Friday the situation will be normalized.
The citizens of Shutka say that in order to get to work they have to use taxis.
Private carriers are paid through JSP "Skopje" and there has been no director for a week since the current Ivan Ilievski resigned last Thursday less than 6 months after he was appointed to office. The City of Skopje does not say when they will appoint a new one and why it has not been done so far.
