The President of the Roma Party, Srdjan Shain , asked the Minister of Human Rights and Minority Rights, Gordana Comic, To speak to the public in Serbia about the Roma as victims of crimes committed by the KLA, where the trial in The Hague began. "We do not understand the attitude of the court and the prosecution, which at one point speaks only of the victims, but not of them," Shajn said in a written statement. "I understand others who talk about this selectively," said Shajn. He noted that "respect for all victims and the fight against extremism are basic preconditions for establishing a dialogue", and therefore called on the minister to react and publicly call on all victims to speak correctly. "I believe you will react and find a way to show a willingness to fight so that Roma, as well as other ethnic communities, are not just 'collateral damage' to big interests," Shajn said. He added that "about 100,000 Roma have left Kosovo without their consent, and that many of them are missing or killed."
