Mehmedalija Suljic, 20, is from Tuzla, Bosnia, and lives in one of the many Roma settlements. Due to a combination of circumstances he had to drop out of high school. At a very young age, he embarked on a life-changing challenge to help his parents. He was a good student but he turned his life around. He is currently practicing martial arts, and above all he is a modest boy who is also an idol among the Roma community.
Mehmedalia's mother is suffering from a tumor and is paralyzed. His father has heart disease. His only income is around 80 euros a month, which is barely enough for medicines.
For the rest, Mehmedalia fights like a lion in the ring and outside it.
During his schooling, he started to be actively involved in kickboxing, where he later sailed in professional waters. , where he records good successes. In 2018 he stopped schooling, and at the same time he stopped training. Then he found a job in Bingo but due to the pandemic he is now without that job. Now she works for small diaries, and hopes that one day she will be able to train, compete and help her parents again. A humanitarian telephone line was opened for his mother Remzija to be checked, to help the number with the prefix for Bosnia and 090 292 006, where they donate 3 KM (1.5 euros) for her treatment.
