Radical political changes will take place in Macedonia after the coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE inflicted a heavy defeat on SDSM in yesterday's parliamentary elections and then announced that it will not form a government with DUI.
The new composition of the Assembly includes four coalitions and two parties that participated independently in the elections.
- The "Your Macedonia" coalition of VMRO-DPMNE won 43.23% of votes and 58 parliamentary seats.
- The coalition for a European future led by SDSM received 15.36% of votes and 18 mandates.
- The "European Front" coalition led by DUI won 13.78% of votes and will have 19 MPs.
- The "VLEN" coalition has 10.72% of votes and 13 MPs.
- The Left received the support of 6.75% of voters and will have six MPs.
- The ZNAM movement won 5.57% of votes and six mandates in the Parliament.
No other party exceeded the threshold of 1% of votes.
