On January 3, 2024, in Bujanovac, after unsuccessful attempts to get Christmas packages for the children from the Roma community from Bujanovac, who attend the preparatory preschool program, a pop artist contacted the teacher Shuki Demirović and donated 70 packages worth 46,400 dinars.
As the New Year approached, we asked for help with the packages, but we were running out of time. We wrote to the addresses of several humanitarian organizations, but unfortunately no one wanted to help the Roma children in Bujanovac - says the educator Shuki Demirovic, who contacted us through the Java Bujanovacchi application, for the Bujanovački portal.
After unsuccessful attempts to make the smallest members of his community happy for the holidays, Demirovic finally received good news.
- We were first contacted by the IDC organization from Belgrade, whose members told us that they could help by donating shoes for children. The next day I received feedback from a pop artist, who I can say is a great humanitarian and a man with a big heart, who gave away 70 packages, but wanted to remain anonymous - explains Demirović.
According to him, the value of the package is 46,400 dinars.
