In the space of three months, unknown vandals destroyed dozens of tombstones and desecrated burial places at the Roma cemetery in Leskovac, which is located in the complex of the Svetoilijski cemetery on Jajnski put.
Osman Veselović told ROMinfomedia that the tombstone and burial place of his wife were desecrated twice.
"A few months ago, vandals damaged the monument and broke the ceramic paintings, so I had to order others, glue and repair the other damage, but the same thing happened a few days ago, and today I reported the case to the police in Leskovac," Veselović said.
He also told us that another dozen monuments were damaged in a similar way and burial places were desecrated.
To remind you, in 2021, in the same cemetery, thieves removed metal fences and gates, brass letters, and vases from about twenty burial places, and the injured parties also reported the case to the police. To this day, it is unknown who the perpetrators of those crimes are
