At the session held in Berlin on November 21, the Board of Trustees of the EVZ Foundation approved and passed the solidarity budget for the coming year. 800,000 euros are planned for this, 10 percent of the planned amount of financing of the EVZ Foundation in 2023. The funds can be used to specifically support projects to strengthen the commitment of refugees, establish structures for exile and other solidarity projects. The focus is on the work of Ukrainian civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations from Belarus and Russia,
EVZ Foundation supports the state and civil society in democratic Ukraine.
Since the beginning of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, the EVZ Foundation has already approved 1.572 million euros for 42 projects as emergency aid. With the money, the partners support: inside with food, medicine, hygiene products, (protective) clothing and much more. 26 of these projects provide emergency assistance to members of the Roma community in Ukraine who are facing anti-Roma sentiment.
