11-year-old Mert Rustemov from Bitola, a student in the fifth grade in "Dame Gruev" and fourth in the Lower Music School won the first prize at the State Competition for primary schools in clarinet. Mert says that he has a great desire to become a top musician and he practices for that every day. His professor Spire Jovanovski also gives him motivation.
"I hope that I will continue to upgrade my talent, I will invest maximum effort in the new challenges in the next period, and I rely mostly on the knowledge given to me by the clarinet professor Spire Jovanovski," said Mert.
His parents Ramadan and Almira say that they noticed their son's love for music from an early age, so they enrolled him in the Lower Music School. There Mert himself chose to play the clarinet.
"Mert is a very talented boy. From a young age, he wanted to be a football player, so he trained in the Bitola football club "Talent 2010", in two matches, one in Prilep, and the other in Greece, scoring goals, bringing the victory in Prilep. "Then we noticed that he was attracted to art, especially music, and his dedication can be seen through the awards he wins."
Last year, he got a role in a movie that consisted of leading a dog that had special tasks, so he did well in acting. As a young boy he has many dreams, and obviously this young artist is talented in many areas.
