Three vaccines are in the approval phase, and the process is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The state provided 400 thousand vaccines or 800 thousand doses. Vaccination would start again in the first quarter of next year.
The approval of some of the vaccines against Covid-19, which have passed the third clinical phase of the examination, is expected by the end of the year, and Macedonia will procure vaccines for 20% of the population, as well as other countries in the region. It is about 400 thousand vaccines or twice as many doses, 800 thousand, because one person will have to receive two doses of the vaccine. Vaccines are provided through the Kovacs mechanism for global and equitable access to safe and effective vaccines.
"The first vaccine to be approved on the market will be equally distributed among all countries that have applied through the Kovacs mechanism. At the same time that the most developed countries receive the vaccine, we will also receive it. "It is not known exactly when, but it is expected to be realized at the end of December or January," said the Ministry of Health.
