- The theater play "The Monster" was staged outdoors this weekend in front of the warehouse "Slavija" in the municipality of Kisela Voda, within the International Roma Theater Festival "Garavde Muja", which is held 17 times in the country. Author and director of the play is Daniel Petrovski. The play was performed in compliance with all protocols for prevention and protection of Covid-19, and the audience followed the performance of the theater group "Romano Ilo". The costume design in the play is from NI "Vardar Film". The work tells the story of the Roma during World War II and the Nazi ideology represented by Adolf Hitler and his soldiers, and especially by the leader Heinrich Himmler. - The idea of this play was to use theatrical art, to show the situation of the Roma during the Second World War. When setting the scenery, attention was paid to all segments of the camps and that is why the whole whole performance looked like a movie. Thanks to all the actors who participated in this project because they did their best during the pandemic, says the director Daniel Petrovski. Staging an open-air theater is a rarity in the Roma community and that is why, as he said, part of the audience's comments were that they saw a live film in front of an audience.
