The tremors that shake the Balkans in recent days, with epicenter and major damage in Albania, are also revealed as a social problem, not just as a natural disaster.
Since November 26, there have been about 1,400 aftershocks in Albania, the strongest with a magnitude of 6.4 according to Richter crashed more than 6,000 objects and endangered more than 9,000 children.
The quake killed more than 50 people and the damage is still being calculated.
The information gathered from the field by Roma activists where a dozen Roma families in Fushe Kruje remained completely forgotten. They were not immediately accommodated nor offered winter tents.
This community also faced without food, medicine, clothing and footwear. How much damage the Roma community has suffered is also clearly discussed by the fact that after one of the strongest aftershocks 26 were killed and 12 of them in Durres and 13 in the village of Tumane in the municipality of Fushe Kruje.
The number of casualties later only increased where the next day in Durres that number increased to 4 and was 16 in total, while the number was twice as high as 26 in Tumanyan. This information indicates that the Roma community suffered the most.
