"I am begging you as the mother of a child who failed to receive any therapy, to give him a chance for a better life. Every message, payment as much as you can, distribution of the appeal means a new life to him. We have less than a month, 12,000 euros are missing. 1278 to 3030. Help," wrote the mother of six-year-old Alekse Milić, a boy with autism.
Alexa has a severe form of autism, and a brain cyst was also found at the last examination, the mother stated in the announcement. Because of that cyst, he could become like a plant.
As his mother Tamara told Telegraf.rs, Aleksa should go to Turkey, to the Liv clinic.
- We sent them the documentation and they sent us an estimate for stem cell transplantation. Two doses cost 18,000 euros, plus the costs of treatment, various medicines, accommodation, travel... - says Tamara.
Aleksa turns six in March, but he hasn't spoken yet.
- He has significantly slowed mental development and mild retardation. At the "Cvetko Brajović" Special Clinic, he was assessed to be at the mental level of a 19-month-old child.
As Tamara says, Alexa has a cyst on her brain, which is still being monitored, but, she says, if she doesn't leave for Turkey as soon as possible, her condition will get worse, because she will have to drink strong sedatives.
- They told us from the clinic in Turkey that since he became very aggressive, we need to get treatment as soon as possible.
The deadline for payment to the hospital is February 10.
Aleksa is a child from a properly managed and controlled pregnancy. He was diagnosed with significantly slowed psychomotor development and mild retardation from the age of three, according to the website of the Be Humane Foundation.
In the special hospital for cerebral palsy and developmental neurology in Sokobanjska, the diagnosis of F 83 (Disordines evolutionis specifi mixti) was confirmed.
