The closing ceremony of the 21st film festival "Golden Wheel 2023" will begin at the Cinematheque of North Macedonia in Skopje on June 1 this year, starting at 7 p.m. The ceremony will begin with the premiere of the SP BTR documentary "Life at the Crossroads" directed by Zoran Dimov.
After the premiere, awards are planned for the most successful. Three diplomas will be awarded for one-minute videos and three for short video forms for students from "Brača Ramiz i Hamid" OU from Skopje.
Certificates of appreciation will also be awarded to institutions and individuals who have contributed to the realization of this festival.
In the official part, plaques will be awarded to the most successful, including prizes for:
"Contribution to the Roma community", "Preservation of lasting values", "For the Roma Holocaust", "For the best screenplay" and "Best direction" as well as the Grand Prix of the festival.
This year the Grand Prix went to the film "Requiem for Auschwitz" by the Dutch director Bob Entrop.
Otherwise, the film program of this year's films were shown in Kinteka of the Republic of North Macedonia. The same films will also be shown in the period from June 2 to 4 this year in the Cinematheque of the Republic of Macedonia. And this year the film festival was supported by the Film Fund of the Republic of North Macedonia
